This is the current information:

1. The ARES Frequency for this exercise will be 147.075 MHz (+) 156.7 PL (SARA Repeater).
2. The Net will be operational from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday.
3. KB3JUV will be located in the Delaware State Police Mobile Command Center using the callsign W3DSP.
4. KB3ISA expects to be operational from the Rehoboth Beach 911 Center.
5. You will be able to "check-in" throughout the day from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the SARA Repeater.
Once checked-in, we will ask stations to move off frequency to the Simplex Frequency
(144.915 MHz) to try a communicating with W3DSP and/or the Rehoboth Beach 911 Center.

If you have any questions, please contact me at kb3juv (at) gmail.com or Willie at kb3isa (at) gmail.com.

Here are a couple of new updates.

With the help of Walt Palmer W4ALT and Denny Karol KB3MJ, we have included some new ways to listen in and participate in the drill.

Walt has set up an online streaming audio feed on the SARA website so that you can both listen to 144.915 simplex and the SARA repeater on 147.075. This will allow for all folks to listen in, even if you're at work. All you need is a web browser! Just point your browser to: http://www.w4alt.com/sa.html

Remember, if you aren't actually listening to the streaming feed, disconnect so that someone else may use it. It is limited to 12 users at a time.

Denny will be setting up the Echolink node KB3MJ-L node number 159742 on 144.915. If you have Echolink (www.echolink.org) installed, and are interested in trying it out, connect to Denny's node and try to make contact with us. One of the great things this will help test out is a better way to allow for our Western Sussex (or maybe the rest of Delaware) area hams to contact us on Simplex.

I'll be bringing a couple of my goodies out to the field this Monday as well. I'll be testing out some Winlink, and trying a few other things out as well. I've got all day, why not experiment!

73 and we look forward to hearing you tomorrow!

Justin
